April 4, 2007 represented a landmark in MSI’s 13 years
of service in China.
To acknowledge and express appreciation for the service of MSI and the
leadership of Dr. James H. Taylor III, the
Zhaojue County Government in Dailiangshan (Big
Cold Mountain)
conferred Honorary Citizenship on “Dr T”. Witnessing this special event in
the County Conference Centre were government officials representing Sichuan
Province, Liangshan
Prefecture, and Zhaojue County,
Yenching University Alumni representatives, local
citizens, staff and students from the Youth
Vocational Training
Center, as well as about 70
members and friends of MSI, making a total of 300 people, sharing the joy and
honor of this occasion. These came from various countries and regions, including
Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, the United Kingdom, the Unites
States, Canada, Beijing, Fujian, Yunnan and, of course, Sichuan. As “Dr T” shared in his speech, this was
an honor conferred on all MSI colleagues, long- and short-term, who have
served over the past 13 years.
