Introduction

Luzhou is located on the Yangtze River on the southern rim of the Sichuan basin, 250 km south of Chengdu. It has a population of 5 million, half a million of whom live in the city proper. It has played an important military role in history due to its strategic position along the Yangtze River. Wine making is its most famous light industry.

MSI's Work

Building on a foundation of close partnerships with local hospitals and schools established by short-term teams from Canada since 1998. MSI long-term colleagues from Taiwan, Australia, Hong Kong and Malaysia are currently launching new initiatives in community health, medical service and English teaching programs in the area.
